Karen Blouin-Clay, an award-winning strategic communications leader, is known for guiding executives to develop their unique voice, fostering deeper connections with stakeholders. Currently serving as the National Director of Executive Communications for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Karen crafts compelling narratives as chief speechwriter for the CEO.
Previously, as Senior Vice President of Communications at Lendmark Financial Services, Karen launched the communications function, enhancing brand positioning and corporate philanthropy efforts. With a diverse background spanning various industries, Karen's leadership roles at Cox Automotive, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Ryla and Spelman College helped drive significant growth through innovative strategies.
Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Drake University. She actively contributes as a board member to The Lee Initiative’s Southern Restaurants for Racial Equity and advisor to Astia, a venture capital firm empowering women-led ventures. She is a member of the Professional Speechwriters Association and Speechwriters of Color. A native of Los Angeles, Karen’s passion is preserving family heritage recipes. She lives in Atlanta with her family and beloved rescue dog, Kona.
